The Eighth Doctor couldn't help but grin and feel a good deal more cheerful at his Sixth Self exhuburance. How long had it been since he had last felt that way, when the hint of an adventure sent both of his hearts pounding in anticipation? Was he finally beginning to feel a bit jaded? He gave a slight shake of his head. No, he hoped it would never come to that! Might as well land on the moon and stay there if that ever happened!
The mentioning of human fashions also caused a smile. "He's quite right about that," he said. "You could dress up as Henry the 8th and hardly anyone would even give you a passing glance! It might be crowded but I know a nice little corner deli that has the best cheesecake in the cosmos! Not much on the tea but the cake along is enough of a reason for a visit."
He took his key out of his pocket and led the way down the path to his TARDIS, whistling a faint tune along the way.

Kyra tried to pay attention. New York 2010. "Sounds better than here," she said softly. She didn't know what was held for them there, but surely they could hide better there.

Tyler grinned at the Eighth version of his brother and at his wife as well. "All right....we'll be in this together. I'm not letting anything happen to us....." he said, grinning at the Doctor's Sixth self. New York 2010....hey...where did that annoying human female go? Do you think we should wait for her?"
His question was addressed to all those present. ___________ Ten, finally realizing that he'd lost the guards let out a sigh of frustration. He would have to head back towards the danger and see about that woman. He hadn't heard from Susan for some time, and he needed to make sure that the woman who had helped to rescue him was all right.
In order for him to return undetected, he would have to put on a disguise. The TARDIS was full of such resources, and so he would need to head there first. Running towards his TARDIS this time, he quickly unlocked the door.
Not even hesitating, he ran straight to the wardrobe room and sorted through several outfits. He would still need to dress in time period clothing, but he would have to somehow change the appearance of his face. He had kept a supply of costume makeup from the 26th century -- makeup that really would make his features appear to be different, but natural. He would have to change his suit, and wear a different hat.
Changing as quickly as he could, he then applied the costume makeup. His nose and facial features looked quite different -- he looked much older -- a man who was in his fifties or so. Taking a deep breath, he took off once more.
Once outside of the TARDIS, he once again locked it. He then ran back towards the house that the ball had taken place in.
To Susan he sent another message, "I've changed my appearance -- no I haven't regenerated -- it's just a bit of makeup...but I'm coming back."
Once back at the scene, he looked intensely for the woman whom he had met earlier.

He's quite right about that...
Six glanced over to his future self with his eyebrows raised. The look clearly said, 'since when am I wrong about anything?'. He let go of the silly slip of words with a glance back to his brother. (was his future self a brother? he really did have to start coming up with personal plurals.. Is, mines, and mys weren't really cutting it for him.)
"There's also a lot of romantic flowershops and..and...chocolate in New York City," Six suggested, wriggling his eyebrows in his brother's direction. This had originally been a misguided romantic outing for his brother's relationship, hadn't it? (If he were honest, it had originally been planned as the kidnapping of his brother.) "And you should see the umbrellas! So much color..." he told them approvingly.
When his brother told him he wasn't going to let anything bad happen, his confident smile faltered slightly. Wasn't that his job? He was the Doctor. "Thanks," he grinned, readjusting his cat pin.
Should we wait for her?
"No!" he stated quickly. "She was very annoying. Besides, she's the one who told us to meet there. Wouldn't it stand to reason that she had her own mode of transportation?" he asked, following himself to the future TARDIS.
See? They really do need to modify English for Time Lords.
[ooc| sorry it took so long and it's so bad. ;~; I didn't know what to write as Susan..]

Tyler grinned at Six. "Oh...right.....chocolate and flowers....." Both of those things, he knew, could really speak to the heart of a female Time Lord. "Umbrellas, though....I can pass on those...."
"Is it a romantic city?" Tyler ventured to ask. In his mind, he imagined taking Kyra to breathtaking nature scenes, having a candlelit dinner on the top of a mountain set back in the woods.
The look on Six's face didn't escape Tyler's notice. It almost seemed as though Six were....downcast. "I...I was saying that to Kyra...I'll make sure that she's safe....she's my girlfriend, after all."
Tyler thought about his brother's comment and then finally nodded. "Yeah....I guess you're right. The annoying female would probably have her own way of getting to New York in 2010."
Tyler took a hold of Kyra's hand and squeezed it as he stopped in front of Eight's TARDIS. He had to only wait for Eight to unlock it. _____________ Ten continued to look for the woman who had aided him in his escape.
Sighing, he hadn't heard from Susan again. "Probably sulking..." he commented to himself.

Eight unlocked his TARDIS then pushed the door open and stepped back, swinging his hand out in a grand flourish. Then realizing he was sub-consciously imitating his Sixth self's larger-than-life gestures he corrected himself by putting it in his pocket.
"All aboard for New York!" he announced, sounding almost like a train conductor. "Express track! No lay-offs, delays or detours!"
'Well, hopefully none,' he thought to himself.

Tyler smiled at his brother's comments, not quite understanding what an express track was, or delays or detours, but he did like Eight's enthusiasm. Quickly grinning at his girlfriend, he took Kyra's hand and led her into Eight's TARDIS.
"It isn't often that I get to see two versions of the exact same TARDIS in one day.
"Let's go, then." He was eager to learn more about this New York place, and was at the same time still concerned about a possible trap.
_____________ Ten almost tripped over something. It was then that he realized that this was the woman that he was looking for, the one that had saved his life and had sacrificed so much. As he looked her over, he frowned. "Oh...you're injured....I just need to get you to the TARDIS...."
He felt his pockets for a first aid kit and some cloths. Finding them, he gently began to clean her cuts. He bandaged them up as well as he could, given the circumstances, and gently picked her up. Trying to be careful with her, and not trying to look suspicious, he carried her slowly towards the TARDIS....his TARDIS.

Umbrellas, though, I can pass on those.
He shrugged, deciding not to say anything for the time being. There would be a time when they were caught in the rain and his brother was being miserable. Six would then jauntily pull out his umbrella, hover it over his brother's head, give him the infamous Doctor-smirk and say, 'I bet you wish you hadn't passed on it now.' Or something along the lines. He hadn't quite figured out his script yet.
Is it a romantic city?
Violence, loud cab cars, huge crowds of people brushing against you roughly, blindingly bright lights, and... well, those were just a few things. "Depends on your definition romantic, but I can confirm that there definitely are both chocolate and flowers. You can even have chocolate flowers." He had seen crazier things in New York City.
Six offered another bright grin on his face, humming a song about kittens under his breath. "Hm? Don't worry, I was just... thinking," he said, deciding that it wasn't exactly a lie.
He followed after his future self, and grinned when he saw Eight waving his arms. Maybe he wasn't all that bad after all, hm?
[OOC| sorry ;~; Uh, I think I'll just say Susan decided to go to New York or something with the vortex manipulator. :c unless Ten needs her.][/size]
