"Thats right"said Dave,"They just gave me a paper and told me to look for you,I am afraid I couldn't tell you what they looked like they were a rather large group.Sorry if I have inconvinenced you, still it was good to meet you,I am sure we will meet again.Later tonight perhaps."He shot a well meaning but disturbing grin at Lani and gave no suggestion that he was leaving.

Aragorn grinned, "That would be great having a friend on the trip....of course now I actually have to convince the Council to allow me to come. There's a meeting in three hours to determine the team that will go. The entire Council plus other leading and "important" people of Gallifrey will be present."
To the Bringer, Aragorn responded, "I'm...I'm actually on the Council myself....."
_______ Earth Kari glanced at Dave, "Oh.....I see...." Even though she wanted to believe Dave, and she did, she still had reservations about him. Something just didn't seem right -- something seemed a bit off. She couldn't quite put her finger on it. It also didn't escape Kari's notice how Dave was looking at Lani. She wondered whether Lani noticed.

The Bringer nodded, "I thought so, you looked familiar but I wasn't sure. You're the King aren't you?" he then sent to the Librarian, Your friend seems to be fairly annoyed with me...

Earth
'Goodbye for now miss Smith,'Davros said as he turned and glided gracefully away, within moments he was back on the bridge of the Dalek ship monitoring Kari's position from space while he schemed about how best to dispose of her. ===== Gallifrey-The Library
Beta jumped when someone suddenly appeared at the end of a distant corridor, replaced a book and vanished. It startled him but he continued to sit in silence waiting for his TARDIS to finish its reboot,to pass the time he used the camera droid to describe to his future viewers what had just happened. This wasn't a good start to his expedition but at least it made interesting TV,deciding to find out more of where he was he instructed the camera droid to have a look round while he remained with the TARDIS.
On beta's instructions the droid floated away down the aisles, out a door and touched down in a picturesque garden where several people were sat talking.

Aragorn nodded at the Bringer, "Yes, that's right. I'm sorry if I've been rude.....I just have a lot on my mind right now."
He wasn't really in the mood to talk to this Bringer, as this newcomer had annoyed him, and he was in emotional turmoil. Looking to the Librarian, he anxiously awaited her reply. He wanted to know whether or not she supported his idea. If he didn't have her support, well then, how would he ever be able to convince the rest of the Council?'
________ Earth Kari glanced at Dave as he had quickly excused himself and gone off to who know where. Looking to her best friend, she asked Lani, "Is it just me, or did that wheel chair seem a bit too heavy? And why did he go off so quickly?"
She'd noticed that the impression in the grass left by where he's been seemed much deeper than it should have been. The grass looked too bent over....almost crushed. Something was strange....something was very strange.

The Bringer nodded, "Understandable, and my random arrival couldn't have helped. Sorry if I've been bothering you..."

Lani nodded. "Yeah, something was very off about him. He seemed a bit suspicious and creepy to me."

"I wouldn't be suprised if they threw in a trainee or two into the team," the Librarian sighed. "I probably don't have a chance getting picked, since I found out so late and don't have any real Intelligence experience, but I should go anyway. Have to, at least, make you look good."
She looked over at the Bringer. "Yeah, I think he had hoped to speak with me alone."

The Bringer's looked at the Librarian quizically for a moment. Maybe the 'just friends' feeling he got from them was wrong. Pity, she was kind of cute, Well I'm going to go then, give you two your moment. I'll be at the library. he sent to the Librarian as he TAQDIS'd back to the library, picking out a few decent books and sitting down.

The Librarian was about to protest, seeing that familiar look in his eye, but was too late to do so. Everyone thought that he and Aragorn were together. They were just friends, to some disappointment to herself, but she was over it now. He wasn't going to choose her to be his wife, it would be too weird and too expected of them.

Beta's camera droid came floating back, after reviewing the footage he finally knew where he was.As he sat he heard a noise and walked to find its source,it was a time lord he'd seen on the footage of the park.He was absorbed in reading when Beta nervously approached him saying nervously"Excuse me sir,can you help me? im in a spot of bother with my TARDIS".

The Bringer looked up at the new arrival, setting his book down and getting up, "Oh of course. Pleasure to meet you, I'm the Bringer." he said, extending his hand.

The gardens - Citadel - Gallifrey "It could make you all that much more valuable," Aragorn responded with a smile. "You never know...besides Correon is on the committee of deciding who gets to go and who doesn't. He always liked you...so...you have a very good chance of getting on the team, at least in my opinion. Your chances are actually higher than mine. I know that some of the people on the High Council really don't care for me...at least as a person. They rather think that they can control me or my position. Being the king of Gallifrey has it's high points, but also it's low points. One of the Council members that doesn't really like me is vying for Lord President...which would make him almost as powerful as me."
He inwardly sighed in relief when the Bringer disappeared. He could speak out loud again, which felt more freeing. ______-- Earth
Kari nodded in agreement with Lani, "Yeah, he was a little creepy -- and a wheel chair should not leave that kind of impression." She got down on the ground in order to inspect the grass closer. She frowned. "It wasn't my imagination....the grass...."

'No, I see it too," Lani said. *** The gardens - Citadel - Gallifrey
"I guess you're right," the Librarian said. "It seems so odd thinking you being king. It feels like only yesterday we were still in the Academy and you were so far from your position. And look at us now, me trying to keep the stuck-up members of the Council happy and you dealing in politics and adventure." She grinned a bit at the idea. "I'm sure if Correon will get little old me on the team he can pull a few heartstrings to get you on as well. He was always such a great debator. And you as well, being his best student."

Aragorn responded with a laugh. "Yeah, I know...it is weird.....in some ways, when we were in the Academy, life seemed so much more promising."
"Unfortunately the stuck up members of the Council are a fair representation of the majority of Time Lords."
"I'll take adventure any day...but politics...I would rather avoid them.....they get so nasty."
He smiled at her last sentence. "Debating was always fun....and now we continue to do it...except now it's for real. I need to argue my way into getting on this team." _________- Earth Kari glanced at Lani, "Do you think we should report him?"
But the wheelchair thing made no sense. How had he pulled that off?

Gallifrey-The library "Pleased to meet you Bringer,"said Beta returning the shake,"I'm Betagorum, you might recognise me from Public Register Video. My TARDIS crash-landed down the corridor there, with a second person I could do a bit of re-wiring to speed up its reboot,it would be much appreciated."
He smiled at the Bringer and began to lead the way.
Dalek Ship-Orbiting Earth Davros sat in front of a monitor, his eyes were closed and he was breathing deeply. His chair had a sleep replacement system built in but there was no substitute for the real thing, inside his giant brain a twisted dream was flickering....: [glow=red,2,300] He saw himself pull a trigger on the girl he talked with earlier, listened to her screams as he faded from existence. He saw the doctor, all of them, fading with him.He saw how the universe should be,how it would be.He saw Daleks,Daleks living on every planet in peace, worshipping the one who gave his life to make their existence possible.Always improving their casings, always cleansing their genes. He had never set out to ensure his species survived,he had set out for one reason:Perfection.[/glow]
Back in the real world in front of the sleeping Davros a readout on the monitor began to flash,it indicated alien activity close to earth.
