[Davros]

"I do not really know,"said Davros,wanting to leave now his mission was complete."I have said my piece so perhaps I should,er...be off as you human...as you...as we say."He smiled and was about to leave when his perception filter brushed the side of her bed...

The already loosened connection was broken and a profound change overcame Dave,he seemed to be surrounded by flickering pixels as his wheelchair and handsome face morphed into an altogether different appearance.Davros was revealed in his true nature,looking extremely out of place in the female human nest that surrounded him.He screamed in anger and began to beat his arm against the perception filter wildly.

(if this was a classic episode this would be a good moment for a freezeframe and credits)

Kari let out a shriek when she caught a glimpse of Davros as he really was, without the perception filter disguising his appearance.

"What....what are you, and what is going on?" she demanded, once she had found her voice again. Dave's appearance was hideous. He....he didn't even look human. His wheelchair wasn't normal either.

The flickering pixels caused Kari to blink several times.

Aragorn froze as he heard a shriek coming from Kari's building. Knowing that it didn't sound good, he ran purposefully to the entrance of the dorm building. Frantically trying the door, he found it locked. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his sonic screwdriver, preparing to open the door.

[Davros]

Davros composed himself and settled into a relaxed malevolent expression,"I suppose there is nothing I can do to hide it miss Smith,I am not human,and I have come a long way to meet you.For reasons yet unknown to you you are one of the most important women who ever lived."he said in his emotionless grating tone.He engaged himself in messing with the buttons on his control panel,not doing anything of particular importance,just politely waiting to see how Kari would absorb this news.Humans were notorious for overreacting in a most comical fashion when their position as the supreme forms of life in the universe was questioned.

Kari had trouble looking at Davros for long, but she forced herself to do so when talking to him. "So....you are an alien? I suppose that really shouldn't come as a surprise to me, what with all the talk of aliens lately....to think that I'm actually talking to a real live alien.....I can just hear Lani now...."

She paused. Dave, whether that was his real name or not, Kari didn't know, but he didn't actually seem all that bad. He still looked....ugly to her, but he had made no threat toward her.

Not knowing whether or not he was telling the truth about coming a long way to meet her, Kari couldn't help but feel touched by his words. He was emotionless when he said them, and it was true that his voice was on the grating side, yet his words -- that he would come a long distance to meet her, and that she was one of the most important women who ever lived -- made her feel warm. Could it be possible?

"I.....where are you from?" Kari asked him, not really sure what to say. She had always been fascinated by other cultures. But other planets....this was a new thing for her.

[Davros]

Davros decided to indulge her curiosity,"My name is Davros,I am a great scientist of the planet Skaro.I came here with several friends,perhaps you would like to meet them as well."

He pressed the comm button on his wheelchair and issued an order,"Transmat beacon in place,send down two daleks,there are to be NO hostilities."

'We ob-ey' was the crackled response.

With a blue glow from under the bed and a humming noise two daleks materialised on either side of davros.They waggled their eyestalks from side to side expectantly.

Kari listened to Davros, curiosity showing on her face. "Davros.....from the planet Skaro? Well, it is a pleasure to meet you," she said, smiling. "I apologize for my initial reaction....I....I've never seen a non-human before."

As Davros ordered two daleks to appear, she let out a small gasp of surprise when the Daleks showed up in her room. She had expected Davros' friends to look just like him. Instead, these creatures, or perhaps they were robots, had appeared. They appeared to have toilet plungers sticking out of them....and they looked like big pepper pots.

These dalek things had the same bubble type circles on their casings that Davros had on his wheelchair. Kari wondered whether or not these Daleks looked like Davors underneath their casings, although she couldn't comprehend how someone like Davros could fit inside.

However, her initial reaction to them might have been, she smiled when she saw the daleks waving their eyestalks around. "They're cute," she said.

"So...what are your names?" she asked the two daleks directly.

Aragorn looked over his shoulder as he was working at the door with his sonic. Once it clicked, he darted inside. It was only when he was inside that he realized that he didn't quite know his way around. He listened intently for another scream or noise, but heard nothing. That didn't exactly mean that all was well, and he knew that. However, he couldn't very well go bursting in rooms -- well, he wouldn't do that unless he felt he had no other choice.

Taking a few moments to get his bearings, he took notice of a door marked "stairs." Aragorn would remember this, but first he would search the first floor of the building for any signs of the source of the scream. If there were students about, he would ask them whether or not they had heard the screams.

Decided on that course of action, Aragorn began walking the halls of the first floor.

[Davros]

"They do not really have any names,"explained Davros,"They are merely servants,drones if you will.I built them myself,they are called daleks."He decided not to mention their organic content as he thought it would only complicate a matter already out of a human's range of understanding.

Not forgetting his mission he decided how best to proceed,if he so chose he could have her exterminated on the spot but decided to hold back.She could proove a useful bargaining tool if he ever encountered the doctor again.After a short pause he said,"My ship is in orbit above us,if you want to look around there is a transmat relay under your bed.Just touch it and I'll have it operated.Goodbye for now Kari Smith."

He smiled a devious smile and pressed a button on his wheelchair and dematerialised along with his daleks into a blue haze...

Back on the bridge he turned to a dalek with black insignia on its headpiece,"Prepare the cell at once".he ordered.

(Just so you know its not touching the transmat that activates it,you have to touch it and wait for the dalek operator to work it.Its more like a doorbell than a doorway)

Kari nodded as Davros explained that the Daleks didn't really have names. They appeared to be just robots, but she had always thought of robots as having unique identities.

Blinking at Davros as he explained to her that he had a transmat underneath her bed, she just stood there until Davros and his daleks left. When he had mentioned the transmat underneath her bed, she thought to herself, "How did THAT get there."

Getting down on her hands and knees she looked at the object that Davros had spoken about. There was no WAY that she would just transport herself onto an alien ship. Reaching into her pocket again, she began fumbling with her phone. Finally picking it up, she dialed Lani's number. Whether or not her friend picked up, she needed to talk to someone about what she'd just been told. They would probably think that she was crazy, but still.

Aragorn asked several of the students who had their doors open whether or not they had heard a scream. Several of the students had nodded, "Yeah...but it was probably just someone doing something stupid.....it wasn't on this floor. You might want to try the second floor....."

Aragorn nodded. "Right, thank you...I will be off then."

Not exactly knowing how human elevators worked, Aragorn retraced his steps to the sign that he had seen earlier -- the one that said "stairs" on it. Taking them two at a time, it didn't take him long to reach the second floor.

Correon, who had been in his office on Gallifrey, grading his students' papers, took out his communication device. It had been some time since he had spoken with one of his good friends. This friend happened to enjoy filming. He hadn't seen him around lately, and now would be as good a time as any to reconnect with him.

Inputting the communication code in order to reach his friend, he awaited a response.

[Davros]

(I'd rather Aragorn helped Kari figure out the transmat)

Beta suddenly heard a beeping from inside his TARDIS and sat in the control chair,he saw a gallifreyan caller ID flash up on the screen and replied immediately,"Hello there Correon",he said jubilantly,"I've not heard from you for decades.I'm in a spot of bother at the moment,my de-mat circuit's packed in leaving me trapped in a highly primitive age on sol three.Still its good material for my documentary."

Aragorn threw open the door at the top of the stairs, looking around for any sign of trouble. A door to one of the rooms was open, not too far down. Hoping that the room's occupant could help him locate the source of the screams, he walked swiftly in its direction.

Inside the room, Kari continued to ponder what this Davros had spoken. Still down on the floor, Kari was startled when a sharp knock sounded on the door frame. Getting up to see who or what it was, Kari's eyes fell on the handsome man from before - Greg.

"Hello, Beta....it's good to hear from you. It's been too long since the last time we spoke. Just listen to you....having a good time no matter what circumstance you find yourself in.....would you like somebody to pick you up? I could arrange.....well, I could come myself. A highly primitive age on sol three, you say? What sort of documentary are you making this time?"
