Blue grinned as the two others got off the RV. His master seemed pretty shaken up, but Maria didn’t appear too worse for wear. He stepped beside Alec, smiling apologetically at the Time Lord. “Where is your Tardis, Maria?” his master asked.
“My Tardis is right over there,” the woman said, motioning towards the shack on the other side of the hill. The Djinn quirked an eyebrow, having imagined something more… alien. Of course, it was probably not at all as simple as it appeared. He began to walk towards it, attempting to tune out the two Time Lords all together. Did I feed the cat? he wondered, a twinge of guilt stirring.
His mind automatically snapped back to his master, his Djinn instincts overpowering when he began to say ‘I wish’. “I wish I knew what this did.”
Blue glanced over his shoulder, coming to a stop as he turned around to face the object in his hand. He granted the wish the best he could without invading his master’s mind. The memories were all still there – as far as Blue could tell – his owner just needed the key to them.
“Alec, that would be your sonic screwdriver. Do you know what a sonic screwdriver is?” Maria asked, beginning to walk ahead of them. Blue hurried after them, paying only vague attention to his surroundings. Until he got to the TARDIS.
He’d known that it wasn’t going to be as simple as he thought. As he stepped into the machine, his smile grew widely. This wasn’t alien at all; it was oddly comforting. His own Lamp was dimensionally transcendental. “Do all Time Lords have a TARDIS? Just as all Djinn have a Lamp?” he asked.

Alec's head flooded with thoughts- memories -if the Sonic Screwdriver. Things it did, how it worked, how exactly to fix it. He knew it was because of the Djinn, which earned Blue an approval of a nod.
“Do all Time Lords have a TARDIS? Just as all Djinn have a Lamp?”
Alec thought, then nodded. "Most of the survivors do. A few exceptions..." he thought of Susan, "...but it's not a sign of inferiority if they don't."

Maria smiled when she heard Alec's reply to Blue's question. It was good that he was getting his memory back.
"Alec, I think you'll get your memory back in no time." She told him, the smile still on her face. "Now shall the four of us go find your Tardis Alec?"
The Phantom decided it was probably best to let the newcomers know there was another on board. Mainly so they don't freak out or anything. She couldn't let something happen to her companion, that would be disastrous.

“Now shall the four of us go find your Tardis Alec?”
Riocard opened his eyes sleepily. When Maria had gone outside to take a look at their surroundings, Riocard had wandered the halls aimlessly until he found the kitchen – and had a chocolate bar – and he found (what he hoped to be) a spare bedroom. And there he had fallen asleep, only drifting back out when voices entered the TARDIS. Maria, another man’s, and still yet another. He sat up drowsily, running a hand through dark brown hair to make himself look slightly more presentable.
The four of us?
He stood up, wandering into the main room. He looked around at the three and grinned. “Hello!” he said cheerfully. “I’m Rio! I get to go help find a Tardis? That sounds like fun. Oh, I do hope you were including me in that four,” he rambled, looking around for some sort of an invisible person. He walked quickly over to Alec and Blue, thrusting out his hand cheerfully.
Blue turned into a dog and growled at the Frenchman. Riocard blinked, not withdrawing his hand from Alec’s direction. “Didn’t mean to offend you, little guy,” he said lamely, watching the dog roll its eyes and sit next to the man he was offering his hand to.

"Alec, I think you'll get your memory back in no time." She told him, the smile still on her face. "Now shall the four of us go find your Tardis Alec?"
Alec nodded, smiling. "I guess so." he replied.
The interesting thing about the Dark Lord's mind, was that it was infinite. Thoughts ran through at one hundred miles per hour and angles were considered at a mad pace. That was one of the reasons why he contracted such a talent for (self-admittedly) mood-swings. He could absolutely despise somebody one minute, remember something from that morning, and give them a high-five. Alternatively, he could have the copacity to actually love someone, a rare thing but not impossible, and turn on them the next. Because of this, he felt the need to smile at Blue and the Phantom, with an uncommon warmth for him.
Maybe it was his allergies.
Before he entered, he turned to Blue. "Tardises are large and...unpredictable. Turn into an attack dog at any sign of any sort of threat. Not that I expect there to be, but big things come in small packages." he said to the Djinn.
The Dark Lord stepped up into the Tardis, he already remembered how big they were on the inside, so it was no shock. What was a shock, was the manic Frenchman that ran up to him trying to shake his hand.
“Hello!” he said cheerfully. “I’m Rio! I get to go help find a Tardis? That sounds like fun. Oh, I do hope you were including me in that four,”
Before Alec could order him to give a background check, pay a small fee, and give an essay of why he should let him come, Blue was a great Dane, admirably on cue. He smiled calmly and crossed his arms.
“Didn’t mean to offend you, little guy,”
Alec's smile was lost for a while.* "His name is Blue, and before you say 'good boy' or something of the sort keep in mind he is twenty years shy of a million." he quoted, remembering what Blue had said.
This "Rio" seemed harmless enough, so he ran his hand across the large dog's back. "That's good, you can change back now." he said.
Alec took a potentially intimidating step towards Rio, finally shaking his hand. "And I am Alec, though you haven't yet earned the right to call me that. I am the Dark Lord." he said.

Blue continued to glare fiercely at Rio, not liking this human one bit. It would have been okay, he supposed, if the man had simply introduced himself and stayed away from his master. He didn’t. Blue stared bitterly at the man’s hand, ready to chomp it off if Alec gave the order. “His name is Blue,” Alec said, and Blue wagged his tail happily, looking up at Alec with warm brown eyes, “and before you say ‘good boy’ or something of the sort keep in mind he is twenty years shy of a million.”
And here he had thought that Alec only paid marginal attention to the Djinn.
Already supremely happy from the way his master was defending him – maybe they could get along after all? – the added pet along his back only served to further his bliss. The tail wagged even more. “Yes, sir,” he said, obediently turning into a human once more. He sat cross-legged by Alec’s feet, still keeping an eye out on that irritating human.
Riocard, for his part, watched this display with wide green eyes, unsure of how to react. The kindness from his smile never left or wavered, and neither did his attention from the Dark Lord. “And I am Alec,” the man said, finally shaking his hand after a step towards the Frenchman (who, in all his naïveté, hadn’t noticed the underlying threat). “Though you haven’t yet earned the right to call me that. I am the Dark Lord.”
The human nodded, shaking the hand vigorously. He dropped it and gave a bow, looking up at Alec with a large grin on his face. “I understand, Dark Lord,” he stood up and glanced apologetically between the two. “I really didn’t mean any offense to… Blue, or to you, my lord,” he said.

Maria watched as Rio came into the room and introduced himself to both Alec and Blue. Wondering why she hadn't told them about Rio, well to be fair it had slipped her mind when she found Alec in the alleyway without his Tardis. Then there was the Djinn that turned up out of the lamp, and finding out Alec lost his memory.
Watching the boys reactions towards each other, she was happy that Rio was so welcoming, and she could see why the other two were hesitance about just meeting her companion. Even she was a bit suspicious of him when they first met, but he gained her trust quickly, all within that same day. However, in Alec's and Blue's case it might take longer for them to warm up to him. Depending on how everything goes.
"Now, now, boys. Play nicely." She said, her tone had a clear warning hinted underneath the playful teasing. Her focus was more on the controls of her Tardis console. After a few minutes, she looked up at Alec curiously. She wondered if he remembered where he was heading last.
"Hey Alec, two things. First do you remember where you were headed in your Tardis before you got transported into an alley?" Maria asked, figuring that it was possible that his Tardis could be in that same area. She waited for him to give an answer before asking the second question that she had. Which would help her know how much he knew, and how much he needed to know.
"Right. The second thing is..." She paused as she sat down in her chair. "Would you like to help me fly my Tardis?"
She stared him in the eyes as she asked him, she supposed that she was testing him in a way. And in another way, Maria supposed that she was also helping his memory come back to him bit by bit.

"Hey Alec, two things. First do you remember where you were headed in your Tardis before you got transported into an alley?" Maria asked.
"Um, I remember...heat. Hypothermia, probably... Oh yes! I flew my Tardis into a sun, pricked my finger on an amnesia needle, and was thrown through time and space and happened to meet you two." he admitted.
"Right. The second thing is..." She paused as she sat down in her chair. "Would you like to help me fly my Tardis?"
"Uh...no. Not really. Not until I regain my senses." he answered.

"Understandable. Do you know if your shields were on Alec?" Maria asked.
"If you'd like you can go look for a spare room I'm sure there's a lot. It's a big place you know. Then once everyone is feeling up to Tardis searching, we'll head off." Maria continued as she nudged her head towards one of the hallways. "You might even find the wardrobe, or the Zero room. Just holler for me if you find either, I haven't seen either in a long while. Feel free to use whatever is in the Wardrobe, and if you happen to find my laser screwdriver, please let me know. I lost that thing a few decades ago, and I have no idea where it got to."
Turning to Rio, she grinned at him. "So find anything while I went out?" It was a perfectly normal question, and she didn't mind if he explored her Tardis. Even she would often find something she had no idea was even there, until she found them. Though Maria's Tardis did like to make her hallways and passages like a maze sometimes, and loved to change where the rooms where. Almost as if it was a game, that you'd have to guess where a certain room would be found next.

Riocard swivelled around as Maria told him to ‘play nice’ with the other two men on board. He offered her a lazy smile and walked away from the Time Lord and the Djinn. He was examining the console, memorizing the colors and buttons and levers. He didn’t know what any of them did, but he decided he’d be quite the expert if she told him to press ‘the weird green button that looks a bit like a mouse’s profile’. The conversation she was having with the Dark Lord had nothing to do with him, and he didn’t want to get on the man’s bad side.
He didn’t want to get on anybody’s bad side.
He just had a certain way of being himself that tended to make others wary. No matter how hard he tried, no matter how many ways he bent, or how many different personas he could pull off enthusiastically, there was going to be someone always that didn’t like him. Too much of an extrovert, too much of an introvert, too much ‘Rio’ and not enough ‘card’. It didn’t bother him most of the time. The dirty glares and hateful mutters slipped right past the oblivious man normally. And even if he did notice them, he hardly paid any heed.
He did rather enjoy himself, so why should he bother if other people didn’t?
The turn in the conversation intrigued him, and he moved bright green eyes towards the Dark Lord, studying the man silently. “I flew my Tardis into a sun, pricked my finger on an amnesia needle, and was thrown through time and space and happened to meet you two,” the Time Lord said, mentioning both Blue and Maria. He put his hands on his hips, walking closer to the man.
Blue (and Riocard thought the name Xavier was bad) turned towards the Frenchman, distrust still clear in his eyes. He held up his hands, making himself appear as vulnerable as he could. “Did you say amnesia needle? That’s pretty neat, isn’t it? Although a bit unfortunate to have lying about a TARDIS, eh? Kind of like having a self-destruct button next to your alarm clock,” he said, feeling the beginnings of a ramble taking over.
The look the Djinn gave him could kill.
Riocard promptly shut his mouth, looking down sheepishly at his feet. “Sorry,” he mumbled. “Just thought it was cool.”
Blue frowned disapprovingly at the young man, continuing to stay close to his master. He was entirely unconvinced that the man in front of them was innocent – he could smell something terribly off. That and the heavy, disgusting scent of chocolate and meat. “Thank you,” he said, in regards to Maria’s offer about a room. He wouldn’t need to rest, but rest did sound like it would help his master considerably. He took a backwards step towards the hallway, keeping his eyes trained on Alec, as though he were frightened about a random pack of mutant bears abducting the amnesiac.
“So,” the Time Lady said, turning to Rio, “find anything while I went out?” she asked.
He nodded. “Chocolate from the kitchen, and a few spare bedrooms. I hope they were spare. I was kind of afraid that there were invisible people watching me,” he said, tapping his chin lightly.

Alec usually found rest rejuvenating. Waking up in the alley had not been so. "I do need some rest." he said.
He fully encouraged Blue resting. It might help him do his magic. He trudged back into Maria's Tardis, looking for a room.

Blue immediately took the shape of a Great Dane, walking closely beside Alec. It hadn’t been his master’s wishes for him to remain a dog all the time, but the Djinn would rather pay for his disobedience later than have something attack his dear master. Dear. Blue nearly rolled the large brown eyes, but kept them steadily on the ground, his ears perked attentively.
The TARDIS reminded him of his own Lamp; the nearly endless space inside of it. Unlike the TARDIS, his Lamp was just that: space. It didn’t contain anything until Blue willed something to exist inside of the Lamp. And unlike a TARDIS – basing this on his rather… limited knowledge of the machines – a Lamp was a deeply personal item. To invite someone inside of a Lamp was... well, Blue couldn’t think of an adequate comparison.
He stopped walking and nudged open a door. He bit the end of Alec’s sleeve and tugged softly, leading his master into the spare bedroom. He sat in front of the door, swishing his tail happily. “You go to sleep, and I’ll make sure nothing hurts you,” he said. He bared his teeth sharply, letting Alec know that, despite his pacifistic nature, nobody messed with his master unless they wanted a set of unnaturally sharp dog teeth baring into their flesh.

Maria watched as Alec and Blue walked down the hall, to find their own room, before turning to grin at Rio.
"So what do you think?" She asked him curiously, wanting to know his thoughts on the subject.
She yawned and began to rub her eyes with the palms of her hands. She, herself was starting to get tired as well, and knew it'd be best to get at least some sleep sooner or later.

Alec's eyes bolted open. Where was he? He didn't remember any bars, so he couldn't be drunk, but... He jumped out of the bed he was in and made a bee-line for the door. He slammed open so hard that it hit the wall opposite it's hinges. He raced down the hallway, into a Tardis console. But not his Tardis console. Was he still in the supernova? Didn't seem so hot. But maybe.
He checked the monitor, and was pleased to find he was not, in fact by a lake instead. He switched the Tardis to invisible, and began teleporting it off.
He had forgotten everything that had just happened. Again.

Riocard sat down cross-legged, leaning against one of the railings. He’d taken the alien technology in fairly quickly. He’d realized that, after the Phantom had offered to take him on, he’d be encountering many new experiences – possibly wilder than a warehouse that changes shapes and goes anywhere and anywhen. He looked up at her with bright green eyes. “So what do you think?” she asked, yawning and rubbing her eyes.
He pulled himself up and wrapped her in a hug. “I love it,” he assured her. “Thank you so much for taking me, Maria,” he smiled. He pulled away and ruffled her hair, pressing a brotherly kiss to her forehead. “Now. You’ve had a long day. Go and get some rest, all right?” he commanded, turning her around and pushing her towards the hallway gently.
And it almost looked like he was going to succeed, until he heard a door slam open. His grip on her tightened, and he pulled her back instinctively against his chest. The man that didn’t seem to like them stormed past them, flipping levers and switches on her console. Riocard let her go uncertainly, not wanting to keep her from beating him to a pulp if she so desired.
The Djinn hurried after his master. “D-Dark Lord?” he stammered, unsure of what to do. He rested a hand on the man’s shoulder, pulling him gently away from the console. “Are you feeling okay? Do you have a fever?” he asked, putting a cold hand against the Time Lord’s forehead.
