General Forum Interaction

Be polite. Do I really have to hammer out the details? No derogatory remarks about anyone or their genetic or national heritage, sex, religion, personal hygiene, lifestyle choices, etc.

No posting of personal information; including -but not limited to- full name, address, photographs of you and/or your family, bank information, etc. This is as much for your own safety as it is my overwhelming lack of interest.

No posting anything (pictures, video, text, or LINKS to such) explicitly violent or sexual. In the case of violence; a little blood is a part of life; gore is not. In the case of sex, snogging is fun! Clothes coming off is not acceptable. I reserve the right to make the final call on anything I feel is too violent or racy to remove it.

No making sexual or threatening remarks towards other members. No flaming. If you have a problem with someone, you come to me.

Please be literate. Check your spelling and grammar. No talking in code, be it chatchat, texttalk, or lolspeak. If I can manage it, so can you.

Avatars may be 100x100 pixels maximum. Signatures and Banners may be 200x600 pixels maximum.

If you have not posted within one month of joining, I will delete your account. Accounts inactive for one year will be deleted.

Role-Play Whoniverse Rules Specific

First and foremost, try to keep to the spirit of Doctor Who. It's a children's series at heart, there will be no 'Mature Section'. It is also a work of Science Fiction- not Fantasy. If you wish to submit a fantastical original character and/or race, give me a little scientific babble to explain their existence in the universe, how their biology works, etc.

The below rule has been amended:
If you would like to play a Canon Character submit a character sheet for that character for approval, and once you have been approved, change your screen name to that character. You may submit any original characters you like.

I'm allowing an individual to have more than one account, but you must let the Tenth Doctor know if you create one or more accounts.

Canon Characters are First Come, First Serve.

Because of the nature of this RP, spanning the range of the Doctor's life, if someone wants to only play a certain canon character for a certain time period, but that character is canon in other time periods, and if that character is needed in another time period, then the person who plays that character must be notified. If the person doesn't want to play the character, let the Tenth Doctor know. The character for the needed time period will be opened up for someone to play, while the original player will continue to play that character in his or her chosen time period. (Example Davros. Let's say that the person playing him only wants to play the character during the period of the Seventh Doctor. However, Davros and Daleks are needed for the Time War RP and for one of the other Doctor threads. The player would continue playing Davros for the Seventh Doctor boards, but someone else would be playing him for the other time periods.)

Please keep all Out of Character discussion to the assigned Out of Character Discussion Threads.

In Character posts must be at least one paragraph; or five full sentences, and I strongly encourage interaction with other characters.

No Godmodding or Powerplaying. Godmodding is being invincible/unbeatable/always right. Powerplaying is taking control of other players' characters without their consent to make them speak or behave out of character or against their players' wishes.

If you have to leave the Whoniverse for an extended period of time (one week or more) please lend your character to a friend or moderator to take over or let me know to change your status to NPC until you return. This way the game can continue.

The Tenth Doctor must approve of your character before you may roleplay.

You may not copy another person's character -- any aspect of that character, including mental disorders or other character things. Each character is to be unique.

Any disorders that are present; PSTD, MPD etc. -- Only one character in the forum may have these. No duplicates or things in the same vein.

You must sign the rules.

Failure to abide by these rules will result in consequence. You have been warned.

If you are creating a Doctor, you must demonstrate that you understand the history that has already been created for the Doctor in the rp. (In other words, read the profiles of the current Doctors in the Approved Doctor thread)

If your character is coming into the roleplay with a special ability, you must state it in your character sheet. You cannot magically have your character have a special ability just because you see another character have one, in the middle of the roleplay, without permission from The Tenth Doctor.

Further rules and amendments will be posted as they prove needed. If you see a new post on this thread it is important you take a moment to read it.

No occult rping will be permitted. This is Doctor Who -- so no spell casting, fortune telling, astrology, other forms of divination, witchcraft, communication with the dead allowed. Nothing that is considered part of the occult is to be rped here.

Specific Advertising rules:
Do not PM members of this site with your ad. All ads must be posted in the Advertisement and Affiliation board. (link can be found in the sidebar under links)

Members receiving a PM for a site are to forward it to me so that the matter may be addressed by me.

- Somewhere in your post you must give the rating of your site. This can be done in the Title or above or underneath your ad, or in your ad itself. By rating, I mean G, PG, PG-13, etc. (you can use other ratings to...such as T or whatever....but basically it needs to convey who your site is appropriate for. A simple safe for 13 year olds will do. If it's safe for all ages, you can also say that. Whatever is relevant to your site)

- All other rules to Whoniverse-rp apply, including content. If your site is an Adult RP (rated M or R or NC-17 or X, etc.) then please do not post here. This applies even if it is a link back. Sometimes I miss the rating on a site when I post my ad there. It will save both of us a lot of hassle if you simply do not post here. If you do, and I find out, I will move your ad to the rubbish bin, and your ad will be exterminated (the links will be deleted.)

- Please also note that when I say this, I'm talking about the spirit of the rule verses the letter of the rule. I am concerned that because of the scare people have with sites being deleted, they may allow for the same sort of R/M/NC-17 material, but make threads or other boards for it, but call their site PG-13. If you have material on your site that you wouldn't want a 13 year old to see, then your site should not be advertised here, even if you rate yourself as a PG-13 site. Also, I am aware that sex and stuff is happening in teens younger and younger, and that many 13 year olds have already been exposed to it in our culture. It doesn't matter what society may or may not have "accepted." Just because our culture allows it doesn't mean that a 13 year old should see it or read about it. Would you want your 13 yr old reading about explicit things? Instead of asking how far is too far, or what is allowed, you should be asking the question "Would allowing a 13 year old to read this on my site be a beneficial/loving thing to do?" If you are making a decision based off of what would be the loving thing to do for this child, then you are asking the right question.

- Post in the correct Sub board (Either a Link back or First post). I will move your post to the proper board after I have reviewed it.

- All ads are welcome, so long as they are not Adult sites. Proboards, Invision free, Zeta boards, whatever...just as long as I can post an ad back.

- If you wish to affiliate, please post in that subboard.

- To make sure that your site is placed in the correct subboard after I review it, you may also ad in a suggested subcategory, but that is up to you. This can be done in the title or in the ad post itself. I'm not picky, and this is not a requirement.

- I reserve the right to send any ad to the rubbish bin that I wish.

- For those of you who have Invision Free and especially ProBoards sites:
Neither ProBoards nor Invision Free allow for R, NC-17, X, or M rated boards, threads, or PM's.

C-box rules:
