She has a scar above her right eye, across her eyebrow. She also has light freckles across her face and a small mole above her top lip. Other than her scar, she is quite ordinary and may not be noticed by others at first glance.
She likes to wear blue, green, pink, black, and sometimes purple clothing. She loves to wear jeans, but on occasion she will wear a skirt and leggings with her favorite pair of tall black boots. If it is not to hot outside, she will wear a variety of jackets. She wears a necklace around her neck with a pendent made from alien technology that can detect when the TARDIS is nearby. She also wears a belt to carry her Stun Gun and her Shrink Cube.
Personality: Nikki is determined and loyal to her friends. Not very trusting of people at first because they could be potential enemies. Since she is being tracked she tries to blend into the background. Her feelings can be hurt pretty easily. And sometimes she can breakdown under pressure, but if someone is truly in trouble she will try to help any way she can. She is shy at first when first meeting people, but opens up once she gets to know someone really well. She is good hearted, but can become very frightened at times when all seems hopeless and may cry. Though she can become brave when pushed by other people and if someone needs help. She is quite shy around men and doesn't do well with physical contact since she is not very experienced with men. She tries to solve problems with compromise instead of violence, though she can be quite stubborn at times. She sometimes tries to hide her feelings from other in order to protect herself from criticism. With all the traveling she does, she wishes she could have at least one true friend who understands her.

Nikki's parents had been on the road for about a day on the way to Utah for her father's mother's funeral. Nikki's grandma had been their last living relative since neither of her parents had any siblings and her grandparents on her mom's side had already died. No one knew where her father's father was, since he had abandoned Nikki's father and his mother before Nikki's father was even born. The car drove through the desert with no signs of life. It was dark outside when Nikki's father saw a large light in the sky ahead of the car. At first Nikki's parents couldn't believe their eyes. A large spaceship was hurtling towards them. Nikki's mother tried to get Nikki's father to turn the car out of the way, but his eyes were fixed on the ship and he kept driving towards the ship. The spaceship itself like the body of a large whale with rocket boosters on its sides. There was smoke coming out of all sides of the ship. The ship hit the earth with a large rumble, sending the car flying. After the dust had cleared, the ship and the car were left in ruins. Two bright beings climb out of the wreckage of the ship. One is badly injured, leaving a trail of blue substance as it walked. The other being carried a small cube and helped the other towards the car. Inside the car, Nikki's parents had been killed by the impact. Nikki was in the the back seat in her car seat, her face covered with blood. She had been cut just above her right eye, but other than that, she had survived the crash. The two beings took pity on the small child who began to cry. Their ship was unrepairable and they had no where else to go, so they decided to adopt her as their own. They each placed a hand on Nikki's mother and father and absorbed their DNA. This caused them to look just like her mother and father, but they had none of their memories. All they knew was speech and how to live a basic human life. They didn't even know what Nikki's real name was. They repaired the car using alien technology from the small cube and attempted to heal Nikki. The technology was not compatible with human DNA so it had left a scar. As they drove off, they decided they would have to get rid of the evidence and blew up the ship along with Nikki's parents bodies. They headed east and ended up in Michigan. They decided that would be the last place anyone would look for an alien. There they used their alien technology to create their new identities. They became Robert and Pam Meadows. They decided to call Nikki, well, Nikki. Robert became a professor at an University and taught Astronomy to college students. Pam tried to get accustomed human living by watching cooking and home decorator shows. All their alien technology was stored away in a safe, not to be touched for 17 years.
Nikki grew up normally, not knowing that her real parents had been killed and replaced with aliens. All she knew is that her parents were a bit on the strange side. As she was growing up, her parents would teach her weird ways of doing things, like trying to getting a boy's attention. When she was 8, she told her parents she liked a boy in her class and wanted to get his attention. Her parents showed her this weird dance and told her it was a sure way to win him over. The next day she tried out the dance and was laughed at by the other children. She was then called Weird Nikki till high school. After several incidences with her parents, Nikki decided not to ask them for advice.
Nikki tried not to attract much attention through high school. She wanted so much to be part of the background and not be called Weird Nikki that she was alone most of the time. She also decided to get bangs so she could hid her scar on above her eye so it wouldn't attract attention. It wasn't until senior year that she started coming out of her shell. She had been asked to the last school dance of the year. She had been looking for the right necklace to finish her look. While her parents weren't home, Nikki went into their bedroom to see if she could find a necklace of her mother's that she could use. Out of the corner of her eye, Nikki spots a safe slightly opened. Inside she finds a small, metal cube. She touches it and it opens. She reaches in and pulls out a beautiful necklace with an almost glowing pendant. She puts it around her neck and goes to the dance. Little did she know that she triggered a beacon.
Later that night she got a call from her neighbor that her house was on fire. Nikki got home as fast as she could, only to find her house smoldered to the ground. Two burned bodies had been found, and Nikki knew they had been her parents. Confused and afraid, Nikki ran from the site in tears. Down the road, Nikki saw something flying towards her. It was the small cube from here parents safe. It landed in her hands and a picture of her mother was projected into the air.
Nikki's mother began to talk, “Nikki, if you are getting this message, your father and I did not make it.” A tear rolled down Nikki's cheek, “It is time you knew the truth about us” Nikki's mother went on to say that they were from a far away planet on a mission to find a man called the Doctor. They needed him to destroy a pendent called the Gomalleh Pendant. In the wrong hands and the right alien tech it can be used to pinpoint the exact location of the Doctor's TARDIS, leaving the Doctor open to attack. The pendant is somehow connected to the TARDIS but no one is sure why. It is possible that it is Time Lord technology and that is why the Doctor is the only one who would know how to destroy it. Nikki can use the pendant to try to locate the Doctor but without the right technology, it can only teleport her to the general area where the TARDIS is located. This area could be as big as a city so it is not very accurate. Though once in the area, the pendant will glow brighter when she is near the TARDIS. Once she is teleported she must wait 2 weeks before she can use it again since it needs to recharge itself. Her mother also said that the small, metal cube she was holding was technology from her home planet that can shrink any object and be placed inside the cube. To retrieve an item all you have to do is imagine that item and you will be able to pull it out. She went on to say that many different aliens and humans will come after the pendant so she gave her a paralyzing laser gun. Nikki likes to call it a Stun Gun. It will paralyze a being for about 10 minutes, give or take a few depending on the being. She also stated that there was medical tech from her planet inside the cube and could be used to heal some wounds, though it does not work so well on humans, but it is better than nothing. All her cloths had been stored also in the cube. Her mother than told her the truth about her real parents and went on to say that she and Nikki's father truly loved her. Nikki began to cry even more. The shock that her whole life was lie baffled her, though in a way it wasn't lie because they cared for her. Nikki's mother said that Nikki could no longer stay in one place very long because she could be tracked and that all her records of existing had been erased. The last words Nikki ever heard her mother say were, “We don't get to choose what happens to us, but we get to choose what we're going to do about it.”
It has been 2 years since she had heard her mother say those words. 2 years of running, of searching. She has been to many places around the world though she seems to just miss the TARDIS. She doesn't even know what the Doctor looks like yet she still searches. So far she has avoided conflict, but just barely. She now has a very hard time trusting people, because on many accounts, there have been aliens disguised as humans and even humans who have tried to take the pendant. So far she's been lucky, though her luck might be running out.
